There are a whole load of local groups available to people with disabilities, all of which are listed here. Give them a call now and join in the fun.

Arthritis Care
Anyone with arthritis is welcome to join Arthritis Care's small but friendly group meetings. Only one wheelchair member at present. No transport is available because it is too costly to run.
 
The group does however join with other clubs to organise outings in order to reduce transport costs as much as possible.

Bexley Association of Disabled People
Bexley Association of Disabled People (BADP) is an umbrella group for all disabled people in the Borough of Bexley. Managed by disabled people, it represents them on issues relating to their full inclusion into the community. BADP consults with other voluntary and statutory bodies to improve services.

Headway SE London & NW Kent
Headway SE London & NW Kent offers a day centre serving the area.
 
Provides help, support and advice to people who have suffered a head/brain injury whether through road traffic accident, sport or other incident. Support also given to families.

This is a monthly drop in, giving dad's a chance to meet with each other and gain information and advice from professionals.

Drop ins

SNAP hold regular (last Thursday of the month) Drop-in sessions which are for all parents of disabled children. The drop-in sessions are informal, and are a great way for parents and carers' to meet other parents and carers', and to find out what services and support are available to them and their child.

The Epilepsy Support Group is open to Thamesmead residents who have epilepsy and their family and friends.

The group meet 7:00-9:00pm on the last Tuesday of every month.
