Arts & Culture
Trust Thamesmead is engaged in a varied arts and cultural events programme, from small scale celebrations to our annual summer festival. Over the course of the year, we both deliver and commission up to 20 events within the Thamesmead area. Over the next year, one of our key priorities is the development of an arts strategy for Thamesmead.

| Trust Thamesmead Summer Festival |
|
Trust Thamesmead’s summer festival is by far the most popular event in Thamesmead.
More than 20,000 people turn up every year to see various artists perform on the main stage, meet local community groups and climb high on the climbing wall - amongst other things.

| The T Factor |
|
We gave The X Factor a run for its money again in 2009, when Thamesmead residents and school pupils took part in the Trust's annual talent contest, The T Factor.
Six acts went through to the final which was held on the main stage at 2009's Trust Thamesmead Summer Festival.
There could only be one winner; Becky Downes, who went on to perform again later in the day at the festival and record several songs at Abbey Music Studios, which she will be sending to record companies, in hope to be signed.l
