Thamesmead Town F.C., affectionately known as ‘The Mead', supports a semi-professional first team who will be playing in the Ryman League football next season 2008/09, after clinching the Kent Premier League in April.
 
Their youth teams play in the Kent Youth League and come in three age ranges - Under 15's, Under 16's and Under 18's.

7-a-side football is played by under 7's to under 10's and 11-a-side football is played by under 11's to under 17's.

Trust Thamesmead has received planning permission from Bexley Council to go ahead with Sporting Club Thamesmead - a £4m redevelopment of Thamesmead Town Football Club.

Birchmere F.C. caters for both under 13s and under 16s. Open July-May every year, they move to a floodlit training ground in September.

Gallions Housing's Neighbourhood Wardens run a football programme for young people in Thamesmead and with other London Boroughs also running similar schemes, you'll get the chance to play further afield from home and meet other young people from outside Thamesmead.
