Meet our Funders

The European Social Fund (ESF) was set up to improve employment opportunities in the European Union and so help raise standards of living. It aims to help people fulfil their potential by giving them better skills and better job prospects.

One way in which they are doing this is through joint funding with Groundwork, who helps people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, to build skills and job prospects and to live and work in a greener environment.

One project Groundwork is working on is working on is the Host Borough Employment Offer, which is to test new and innovative ways of working with employers to help target groups within the local labour marketing with a view to participants finding, retaining and making progress in employment.

The project increases levels of employer engagement within employment and skills activities by developing a range of linked services for employers that support their business development and Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.
