5th Abbey Wood & Brownies Diamond Jubilee Party

The 5th Abbey Wood and Thamesmead Rainbows and Brownies celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on Monday, 28 May, a week ahead of the official celebrations.

More than 40 members of the all-girl uniformed group turned out in force at their weekly meeting, to participate in fun activities including party games.

Leader, Sandy White said "It was such a fun evening. The girls understood the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and are still talking about last year's Royal wedding and how beautiful the Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Catherine looked."

Lots of the girls will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee further, from schools who are throwing street-style parties to attending the official celebrations taking place in London next week.

The 5th Abbey Wood and Thamesmead Rainbows and Brownies meet every Monday during term-time, excluding Bank Holidays. Email Leader, Sandy for further information, E: sandywhite13@btinternet.com
