Acorn Pre-school

Acorn pre-school opened in 1994. It operates from a self-contained building and is owned and managed by Trust Thamesmead who also fund the pre-school.

Acorn pre-school pride themselves on offering a safe, friendly and stimulating environment, including an enclosed outside play area comprising both paved and grass areas. It is a place where children can explore and investigate whilst developing their independence and well-being in a positive and enjoyable way.

They operate 39 weeks a year and provide morning and afternoon sessions 9:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-3:30pm Monday to Friday (term-time only and excluding bank holidays)

Each session comprises of four staff members who work in partnership with parents/carers, Trust Thamesmead, Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership -Bexley and Ofsted.

In 2007, Acorn was the first pre-school in the London Borough of Bexley to receive an 'Outstanding' Ofsted result. The pre-school received another 'Outstanding' Ofsted in February 2011.
