Children's Information Services

It doesn't matter whether you live on the Bexley or Greenwich side of Thamesmead. If you have children, and you're looking for help with childcare, out of school clubs, early years education or help with a childcare career, there's a Children's Information Service (CIS) that can help you.
Set up to give you accurate, up-to-date information and advice about childcare, Bexley CIS and Greenwich CIS can help you choose what's best for you and your child - and it's free!

Each CIS has leaflets, booklets, and a variety of other kinds of information on a variety of childcare options, including childminders, nurseries, out of school clubs, playgroups and pre-schools. CIS can tell you what they offer, when they are open, and where to find them and will usually have information about what they charge and whether they have any vacancies. CIS can also advise you on getting help with your childcare costs.
