The school summer holiday has officially begun for many and to celebrate, the Peabody has announced its Summer in Thamesmead programme, full of exciting activities.
Working in partnership with a number of organisations, there really is something for everyone from bat walks, football, tennis, a family BBQ, face painting, bouncy castles, fitness classes, indoor climbing, badminton and ping pong to massages and a light spectacular.
As well as fun activities, Peabody will be engaging with residents with findings feeding into Peabody’s Futures Plan which will be launched in the autumn, outlining our vision for Thamesmead.
Peabody’s Thamesmead Strategy Team’s Engagement and Programme Manager, Ellen Halstead said: “Since Gallions, Trust Thamesmead and Tilfen joined the Peabody Group earlier this year, we have been planning how best to deliver improvements to the area. To help us shape these plans, we want to listen and ask questions to the people who know the area best and want to give residents the opportunity to ask us questions too. So please look out for us across Thamesmead this summer. We are really looking forward to meeting as many people as possible over the coming weeks.”
As well as all our events, other community organisations are putting events on too. Check out our events page for full lists and keep up to date with the latest projects and events by following us on Facebook and Twitter @TrustThamesmead and @PeabodyLDN
