Flying High

This year's Trust Thamesmead Summer Festival is going to be truly hair-raising. Not only will more than 40 fabulous performers be entertaining us from a total of three stages, there will also be a themed beach area, ‘Beside the seaside' which will feature a sandpit and paddling pool sponsored by Team Gallions, Punch and Judy, donkey rides, a mermaid and more!

As well as a Healthy Living Zone, stalls and a fun-fair, there will also be an Activity Zone, including a simulator rides, a 30.5 metre high bungee jump and a 7.5 metre high climbing wall sponsored by London City Airport.

And that's not all! London City Airport is offering two people the chance to win flights and one night's accommodation in Edinburgh. All you have to do is fill in a form on the day. It really is that simple!

All this kicks off at 12pm on 15 July with live entertainment starting at 1pm, with a 90 minute set from The Motown Show, which will take you on a musical journey, recreating the magic of the golden Motown era of the 60's and 70's.

It is set to be truly magical day.

*All this for free!
