Housing Association Launches Environmental Website

We love green, a brand new website for those that care about the local Thamesmead environment, was launched on 1st June. It's the brainchild of Gallions Housing Association. The organisation wanted to provide a platform for locals to engage with each other, learn about environmental issues closer to home and really make a difference. They have the opportunity to make a pledge, air their views and keep up to date with local news about the environment.

Gallions Housing Association has a strong track record in caring for the environment. It was one of the first housing associations in the UK to develop an eco-friendly scheme.

Last year staff spent half a day cleaning local canals, planting shrubs and landscaping as part of 'contribution day' aimed at giving something back to the local community.
