Positive Steps Thamesmead

Positive Steps Thamesmead is a free support service for Thamesmead residents.

Managed by Trust Thamesmead, trained volunteers are based in Lakeside Medical Practice in Southmere Village and Waterways Children Centre in Thamesmead, to support residents facing an array of difficulties in their circumstances to be directly referred to a range of voluntary sector organisations who can help.

Since the project launched in April 2015, our volunteers helped more than 500 residents in the first six months to be directly referred to local organisations who can make a real difference to their lives. The partnership has stopped evictions, unruly doorstep lender loans and helped residents who couldn’t furnish their home or put food on their table.

Find out more about Positive Steps Thamesmead, as a project or the support we can offer, by contacting Trust Thamesmead’s Community Development Officer, Linda Delieu, T: 07815 734080 or E: [email protected]
