Trust Thamesmead's Arnott Pre-school held their annual Good Choices Day event, 10:00am-3:00pm on Friday 8 July.
The day's theme was ‘safety' and saw the London Fire Brigade, Greenwich Road Safety Team and the St John's Ambulance attend, engaging with adults and children alike. Other service providers included the Arnott Parent Forum, Moorings Action Together (M. A. T.), Feel Good Coop, Bexley Children's Centre, Greenwich Toy Library, Greenwich and Bexley Community Dentists and the Family Information Service.
The day kicked-off at 10am with an hour-long Zumba session from Zumba with Sienna, which staff and parents both participated in, along with a handful of children. “It was a great way to start the day-with something uplifting and up-tempo to get the adrenaline running.” said Trust Thamesmead's Marketing and Communications Officer, Julia Hickson.
Trust Thamesmead's Childcare Manager, Tracy Norcott said: “Good Choices Day is an important event in our calendar, not only does it bring parents and carers of our pre-school children together, but the community too. It is a great way of promoting smaller groups like the Arnott Parent Forum and M. A. T. and showing the community what services are available to them, in a fun environment. Also, with this year's safety theme, it allowed Greenwich Toy Library to tell everyone about their new, lost cost safety scheme.”
