Trust Thamesmead is working in partnership with Adult Education Bexley and Greenwich Community College, offering free training courses to unemployed residents of Thamesmead.

ICT
18 September (assessment date)
This is a taster course in Information Computer Technology for beginners. Those who pass will be awarded a Level 1 ITQ qualification

ESOL
19 September, 10 week course
Successful candidates will receive an Entry Level One certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages, with the possibility of going on to an accredited course in 2013

Introduction to Childcare
19 September, 6 week course
Everyone who passes this course will gain three credits towards an NVQ2 in Childcare. Interested parties may be funded for the NVQ2

First Aid
24 September, 1 day course
Those who pass will receive a certificate in Level 2 First Aid

Food Safety
4 October, 1 day course
Those who pass will receive a certificate Level 2 in Food Safety from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
