Egg-citing Easter Activities

The Easter bunny has arrived to announce Trust Thamesmead’s The Link Thamesmead and Sporting Club Thamesmead’s latest Boredom Busters school holiday activities programme.

The egg-traordinary activities programme is open to young people aged 5-19 who live or go to school in Thamesmead and offers a Week-Long Football Course, Street Dance, High Ropes and Archery classes, Golf and Tennis coaching, Arts & Crafts, a Nature Trail, Movie Afternoon, Recording Sessions and a Talent Show, so there’s something for everyone!

Sporting Club Thamesmead’s Centre Manager, Simon Jones, who put the programme together, said: “Life is all about experiences; learning, meeting new people and having fun and we believe our Boredom Busters programme does all these things in abundance.”

Trust Thamesmead’s Marketing & Communications Officer, Julia Hickson said: “As well as offering something for young people every school holiday, the Trust is proud to showcase its two new facilities by using the grass pitch at Sporting Club Thamesmead and the arches at The Link Thamesmead, which has got to be seen to be believed!”

Easter activities programme

Tuesday 2 April, Easter Arts & Crafts, 10:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00pm, 9-10 year olds, £3 per session

2-5 April, Tennis, 10:00am-3:00pm, 8-14 year olds, £32 for four days or £9 per day

2, 4, 9 & 11 April, Archery, 3:30-5:00pm, 11-19 year olds, £5 per session

2, 4, 9 & 11 April, High Ropes Course, 9:00-10:30 & 1:30-3:00pm, 8-13 year olds and 11:00am-12:30pm, 13-18 year olds, £5 per session

Thursday 4 April, (PG) Disney movie screening, 2:00pm, £3 per person or £10 for a family ticket up to four people, must include at least one adult

4 & 5 April, Golf, 10:00am-1:00pm, 8-14 year olds, £10 for two days or £6 per day

8-12 April, Football, 10:00am-3:00pm, 5-14 year olds, £39 for five days or £8 per day

Tuesday 9 April, Street Dance, 10:00am-12:00pm, 5-8 year olds and 1:00-3:00pm, for 9-13 year olds, £5 per session

Tuesday 9 April, Recording Sessions, 10:00am-1:00pm, 12-16 year olds and 1:30-4:30pm, 8-11 year olds, £6 per session

Thursday 11 April, Creekside Nature Trail, 11:00am-3:30pm, 8-12 year olds, £8 including transport

Friday 12 April, Talent Show, 6:30-7:30pm, £1.50 adults (16+), £1 children (15 and under) & OAPs
