Exercise classes for the over 50's

Calling all adults over 50! The Friends of the Atrium have recently started a new and exciting exercise class, tailor made to meet individual requirements.

The group is proving very popular with local residents who are unable to exercise at local leisure centres and gyms for various reasons.

The instructor, Tonya goes through a range of warm up exercises and identifies the exercises that are best for improving circulation. The members can then do these exercises in between classes to gain maximum benefit.

Tonya starts every session with a joke or a short poem, and the class has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere.

The classes are currently being funded by Trust Thamesmead, who are working on a funding application for Bridge House Trust so that the class can be funded for the next two years.

The classes take place 4:30-5:30pm every Wednesday at The Atrium, Tees Water Court, Middle Way, Thamesmead.

There's no need to book, just turn up!
