Santa Visits the Brownies and Rainbows

The 5th Abbey Wood Brownies and Rainbows who meet every Monday at The Arnott Community Centre in Thamesmead held their Christmas party this week, which was also attended by Father Christmas.

Santa took a short break from his busy schedule to drop in with presents for each of the 28 Rainbows & Brownies, who are all aged between 5 and 11 years old and to help celebrate Christmas and another fantastic year for this diverse and enthusiastic group.

Two PCSO's Sam & Jane from the Thamesmead Police, who are familiar faces to the girls also dropped by to join in the fun and of course to see Santa too.

All the children were dressed in party clothes, took in their favorite music to dance to and food which was donated by the girls parents.

Brownie Leader, Sandy White said: “It was a fantastic evening with dancing, party games and food.

“The Brownies and Rainbows had a great time and were overjoyed that Father Christmas came along to see them, he even brought one of his elves with him too.”
