Birchmere Football Cup

Trust Thamesmead is backing Thamesmead based football club Birchmere F.C. in hosting the Birchmere Cup again this year; an annual event which they are making bigger and better than ever before, with up to 3800 kids participating in the five day event.

The football festival will be taking place during the summer holidays, 18-22 August 2008, 10:00am-5:00pm at Goals in Bexleyheath - a football centre that boasts 11 pitches and is open to football teams aged 10-14, based in and around London and the South East.

Fujitsu and Sports Tour will be supplying some promotional items for the event, and the London F.A. is also backing the event which 750 kids will participate in every day.

Both Birchmere F.C. and Goals are hoping to make the week into fun days; hiring bouncy castles, etc and invite local companies and community groups to attend and promote themselves and hopefully stump up some money in support, to cover the costs of the hiring of the venue, a medal for each player, a new kit for the winning team, goodie bags and an event programme.
