Community development agency and registered charity Trust Thamesmead was delighted when one of their Community Development Officers, Linda Delieu was awarded a ‘Keeping Bexley Safe' award from the Bexley Community Safety Partnership during an awards ceremony held at Hall Place in Bexley last Tuesday, 31 March.
Linda who has been working for the Trust for 23 years was nominated by the Thamesmead East Safer Neighbourhood team for going “above and beyond her call of duty.”
Trust Thamesmead Vice Chair Ted Claridge said: “Many congratulations to Linda on receiving a Keeping Bexley Safe award.
“Linda is a wonderful employee. It is fantastic her hard work has been recognised. It is people like Linda; our eyes and ears to the community who really make a difference.”
Linda said: “This is a real honour and I feel very privileged to work with such enthusiastic people. The Bexley Community Safety Partnership, Bexley Neigbourhood Watch and Thamesmead East Safer Neighbourhood Team make a real difference and the community of Thamesmead are at the heart of all they do.”
