Putting Health on the Agenda

To mark World Health Day last month the Trust Thamesmead and Thamesmead Health and Wellbeing Partnership Forum held an event in Thamesmead Town Centre which brought together hundreds of local people and a wide range of stalls manned by health service providers from across Bexley and Greenwich.

People also had the opportunity to take part in African drumming and dancing, Tai Chi, Zumba® and chair-based exercise classes and enjoy free massages and healthy drinks.

The event was opened by Erith and Thamesmead MP, Teresa Pearce who was joined by the Mayor of Bexley, Councillor Ray Sams, and the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Councillor Jim Gillman, who together with the service providers from across Bexley and Greenwich truly demonstrated cross-borough work which can only benefit the residents of Thamesmead.
