Making an Exhibition of Ourselves

The Link Thamesmead has been playing its part in a consultation process that could see significant improvements to Lesnes Abbey Woods, if a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund by the London Borough of Bexley is successful.

Over the past few weeks The Link has been exhibiting the master plan consultation framework and until the end of May is hosting an exhibition of work from the community engagement programme ‘Your Park Your Say’, which is displayed along our well-lit and spacious access corridor which doubles up as an excellent gallery space

One of the public consultation events also took place at The Link which included a special preview of the ‘Your Park Your Say’ film which was produced by Thamesmead film company Pixel Form Studios, which has its base at The Link.

The film was watched by local children, community members and council officers whilst enjoying cupcakes and popcorn.

The proposed Lesnes Abbey Woods project aims to improve access, interpretation, signage, educational provision and volunteering opportunities.
