If you would like to help to form a better bus service in and around Thamesmead, then carry on reading. Bexley residents and members of the Bexley Borough Neighbourhood Watch have joined forces to highlight the lack of bus services in Thamesmead.
Crossrail will be arriving at Abbey Wood station in the next 3 years, offering high-speed trains to Liverpool Street station in just 17 minutes but based on the current bus service, it will take residents in the north of the borough as long, if not longer, to travel to Abbey Wood station on the bus than it will to get to other parts of London.
Travel infrastructure plays an important part in any community and good infrastructure attracts visitors and inward investment making an area more desirable to live in.
On advice from both Erith & Thamesmead MP, Teresa Pearce and Trust Thamesmead, residents have put together a survey, which will be handed to Transport for London to review.
Have your say here. This is an opportunity for you to help shape the future of local transport in Thamesmead.
Thanks to Trust Thamesmead, one lucky person who completes and hands in the survey will be drawn at random and given a £50 shopping voucher.
