Volunteers' Day

Thirty one volunteers from the Trust and local community groups joined us at our first ever Volunteers' Day event which took place at Sporting Club Thamesmead during National Volunteers' Week on Thursday 5 June and included a BBQ, an awards ceremony and a feedback session.

Trust Thamesmead's Community Development Officer, Sarah Feleppa who leads on Volunteering said: "It was fantastic to see so many volunteers' under one roof. It was a proud moment to see them receive their certificates of achievement, knowing the difference they have made in their community."

Cadz Productions’ Artistic Director Kate Jones (right) said, “The evening was brilliant. From being encouraged to meet new people to the light and airy venue. It was fantastic to be a part of such a great event which meant so much to so many, including Cadz who have benefited no end with the help of the volunteers' Trust Thamesmead has put us in touch with."
