Helping Hand for Community Group

Is your community group in need of a make-over; is your project flagging; would you like to start your own community group? If the answer is yes to any of these questions then help is at hand.

Community groups in Thamesmead are being offered free support by Trust Thamesmead, the area's leading community development charity.

The Trust has a highly-skilled team of community development officers who are experienced in helping setting up new groups, accessing premises and funding, training, organisational health checks and developing and implementing policies and procedures.

The Trust's Community Development Manager Janice Songhurst-Jones said: “Whether your community group is in need of some fresh ideas, you are thinking of starting up a new group or you need a boost to liven up your project then talk to us. It's what we are here for and we'll be very happy to help.”

The Trust has produced an information leaflet ‘Supporting Local Groups' which can be obtained from the Trust offices at 19A Joyce Dawson Way in Thamesmead Town Centre, around the corner from the clock tower by the canal, or by calling 020 8320 4470 or emailing us.
