Trust Thamesmead is working together with local service providers to bring Yoga, Tai Chi and Chair Based Exercise classes to Thamesmead.
Yoga
The two hour Yoga classes are a joint initiative between Trust Thamesmead and Greenwich Community College and are open to residents of Thamesmead.
Being held 9:30-11:30am at Jubilee Community Centre, Lytton Strachey Path, off Titmuss Avenue from Thursday 27 September and every Thursday thereafter for 30 weeks for a cost of £66. Tai Chi
The free Tai Chi classes which are running as a joint initiative between Trust Thamesmead, Bexley Adult Education and Friends of The Atrium will run every Thursday from 27 September at The Atrium, Middle Way, Thamesmead.
Tai Chi is a form of ancient Chinese co-ordinated body movements focusing on harmonising the mind, body and spirit and promoting both mental and physical well-being through softness and relaxation.
Chair Based Exercise Classes Trust Thamesmead is also excited to be able to offer Thamesmead residents two free Chair Based Exercise Classes on a Wednesday.
The first, based at The Atrium Tees Water Court, Middle Way, Thamesmead is a joint initiative between Trust Thamesmead and The Friends of the Atrium and is sponsored by the City Bridge Trust. These classes take place 4:30-5:30pm every Wednesday.
The second Chair Based Exercise class is a joint initiative between Trust Thamesmead and the Arnott Senior Citizens and Disabled Club and sponsored by the Lottery. This takes place 12-1:30pm every Wednesday at the Jubilee Community Hall, 10 Lytton Strachey Path, Off Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead.
