If you have bags of talent, are aged seven or over and live, work or go to school in Thamesmead then Trust Thamesmead wants to hear from you because entries are now open for this year's T Factor talent competition.
The auditions, which are taking place on Saturday 18 April, will result in six acts going through to the final which will be taking place on Saturday 11 July on the main stage at the Trust Thamesmead Summer Festival 2009 in Birchmere Park, Thamesmead
Having performed in front of a panel of judges and probably the biggest audience of their lives, the overall winner will not only perform for a second time on the main stage as support for the headline act but also win a recording session at Abbey Music Studios in Lodge Hill, Abbey Wood.
Julia Hickson from Trust Thamesmead, who is organising this year's competition said: “We wanted to add a new dimension to the T Factor this year by giving the overall winner the opportunity to take away something to remind them of their time at The T Factor and to also have something to send onto a record company or future talent contest should they wish.
“For example, if a group or singer wins they will cut their own CD at Abbey Studios; if it's a dance act or another visual act such as a magician, comedian, mime artist or an all round entertainer they will film a video.”
Application forms can opened here; please print and send FAO The T Factor to the following address or pop in and pick up an application form: Trust Thamesmead, 19a Joyce Dawson Way, Thamesmead Town Centre, SE28 8RA.
Application deadline is Friday 13 March 2009, a date which will certainly be lucky for some! Read the rules.
