Sarah joined the Trust in 2007 and leads on West Thamesmead and Volunteering.

West Thamesmead

"Still a fairly new area, West Thamesmead has an established community which I am getting to know better every day.

"I am keen to set-up regular meetings in Broadwater Village Hall for the residents who would like to find out more about what is going on in their local areas, so we can learn about any difficulties and work together to dissolve any issues.

Volunteering

Sarah helps staff, residents and other organisations and community groups to improve their volunteering programmes and coordinates the recruitment of volunteering opportunities available in Thamesmead and the surrounding areas.

"I am always on the look-out for good quality opportunities that will give people the very best experiences.

“There has never been a better time to volunteer in Thamesmead. I have been so encouraged by the amount of people signing up to volunteer and the organisations offering some fantastic opportunities to get involved in the community. My ultimate aim is for Thamesmead residents to develop the skills, confidence and experience to achieve their individual goals in life.”
