Link Painting Project

Members of Thamesmead Youth Voice recently volunteered their time to help paint murals on the walls of the public footpath at The Link Thamesmead in Harrow Manor Way.

The Link Thamesmead's Lead Marketing Officer Julia Hickson said "These are just a taster of what's to come on the internal walls!"

"The place is really taking shape, we can't wait for it to open!" said TYV member and artist extraordinaire Tahlia.

Thamesmead Youth Voice have played a pivotal role in The Link Thamesmead, which saw them secure a £5m grant from myplace and working closely with Trust Thamesmead in coming up with the name and brand of the community hub.

The Link Thamesmead will offer an array of activities and services to residents of Thamesmead when it opens its doors in 2012, including an indoor ropes course and climbing wall, water sports, a gym, dance lessons, a 160 seater performance space and a recording studio, as well as accredited and non-accredited courses and internet access.
