Pre-school's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Trust Thamesmead's Acorn Pre-school held their very own Diamond Jubilee celebrations at their setting in Glimpsing Green on Wednesday 30 May.

Both the morning and afternoon children attended in their best attire "Which included lots of red, white and blue and many Princesses, Princes and our very own Guardsman" said Acorn's Pre-school Leader, Sara Peache, "It was absolutely fantastic!"

As well as dressing up, children and parents alike enjoyed a puppet show by pre-school staff called 'The Royal Bertie Story' about a little boy who had some awful habits but which the Queen corrected in her best voice, saying "No Bertie, that's dirty Bertie."

The event also saw participants taking part in coin rubbing, flag making and icing biscuits, followed by lunch with dishes provided by parents and dancing to the very best of British music.
