The third Community Voice meeting will be held in Thamesmead on Thursday 29 May.
Managed my Trust Thamesmead and hosted by Erith & Thamesmead MP, Teresa Pearce, Community Voice will welcome guest speakers; Sarah Feleppa, Community Development Volunteering Officer from Trust Thamesmead, Ken Baikie, Interim Director Thamesmead Strategy at Peabody Peabody, Community Sports Activator for Now’s the Time, Stephanie Turner and members of Link Action 4 Youth.
With many projects and developments taking place in Thamesmead including £85m being spent on regeneration in South Thamesmead, Crossrail extending to the area and talks of a new river crossing, it is clear Thamesmead is in a community in a state of transition.
Erith & Thamesmead MP, Teresa Pearce said: “It is essential that they (Thamesmead residents) are at the forefront of shaping change, and that local voices are not lost during this time.”
Community Voice gives residents the chance to find out more about the developments happening in Thamesmead and the opportunity to ask any questions they may have regarding this and any other subject.
Trust Thamesmead’s Community Development Officer, Alex Forrester said: “The Community Voice is the place to be to find out what’s going on in Thamesmead and to ask any questions or queries. Those who have attended the previous meetings have found them very beneficial. We look forward to welcoming you to the next one.”
Community Voice will be taking place 6:30-8:30pm on Thursday 29 May at The Link Thamesmead, Belvedere Road, off Harrow Manor Way, Thamesmead, SE2 9BS.
Members of the public requesting more information about this event should contact Alex Forrester, T: 020 8320 4470 or E: [email protected]
