Join us by the clock tower in Thamesmead Town Centre for the switch on of the Christmas lights, 4:00 - 7:00pm on Friday 4 December.
You will have the chance to meet Santa in his grotto and community groups at their stalls, while listening to Christmas carols sung by local primary school students, community groups and churches.
Peabody's Interim Executive Director of Thamesmead, Pauline Ford said: “The switching on of the lights signals the start of Christmas and we aim to have this as a continuing part of the festivities in Thamesmead. We also look forward to continuing our work with residents, and both the London Borough of Bexley and Royal Borough of Greenwich, to help shape the future of Thamesmead.”
The lights switch on will take place at 6:00pm when the winner of the night's Christmas fancy dress competition will be announced.
We look forward to seeing you there.
