Age Concern's Pop in Parlour Fete

Age Concern's Pop in Parlour had a ball at their fete, supported by Trust Thamesmead on Saturday 30 September, especially those who took part in numerous games of bowls on the group's bowling green. They kept their strength up by eating the free food from the BBQ and had lots of fun looking around the stalls, including a Christmas stall, bric-a-brac, plant and flower stall and a Trust Thamesmead information desk, as well as guessing the weight of the prize pumpkin, which will come in useful with Halloween being only weeks away.

“We hold a fete every year to raise money for our Christmas meal,” said group member Diane Parrish.
