Black History Month

Trust Thamesmead is celebrating Black History Month on a bigger scale this year, hiring Whipper Snappers drama group to perform at Northwood Primary School during the morning of Monday 16 October and Windrush Primary School in the afternoon, Acorn preschool the morning of Tuesday 17 October and at Bishop John Robinson's Tuesday afternoon.

Whipper Snappers will be narrating and acting out Anancy and Caribbean stories to both educate pupils and encourage them to interact. Northwood and Acorn will also be involved in African drums and percussion workshops.

Trust Thamesmead is also hiring a Tina Turner look-a-like to perform at The Atrium OAP group in Thamesmead on Friday 20 October.
