Trust Thamesmead celebrated Erith-based radio station, TGR Sound's almighty radio leap from the internet to FM frequency, which took place on Sunday.
We were shown around the studio - funnily enough they didn't offer to hand over the airwaves and asked to write a message on a 12” record (remember them?), which they stuck on their Wall of Music. Take a look if you're ever in the building.
TGR Sound is a community radio station which is listened to by 161,000 people across the London Borough of Bexley and the Outer Thames Gateway. As well as playing all the latest tunes, they feature the likes of Trust Thamesmead on their airwaves, so we can tell you what's on and how to get involved.
They also offer to train people in DJing. So if you fancy yourself as the next Jo Whiley, Terry Wogan or Andy Sayer, contact 103.7FM TGR Sound.
