Twenty four acts performed at Trust Thamesmead's T Factor auditions at Woolwich Polytechnic on Saturday 21 April.
There was a great mixture of singers, dancers and even a sketch, with each act being given three minutes to impress the panel of judges - Nikitta Angus from ITV1's The X Factor, Graham Bignell from Trust Thamesmead, Deputy Head of Windrush Primary School Joanne Marchant and Mark Mason from Axis Europe Plc.
“I have been blown away by the talent today,” said top ten X Factor finalist Nikitta Angus, who impressed the crowd with her own stunning two-song performance. “What has amazed me is the age of the performers - some are only 10 or 11 and even the nervous ones gave it their best.
“It is really scary being taken out of the comfort zone of your bedroom and performing in front of people…It takes a lot of guts.”
Eleven acts were put through to the final which takes place on Tuesday 15 May at Greenwich Theatre when one act will be picked to go on to perform in front of 20,000+ people at Trust Thamesmead's Summer Festival on Saturday 14 July.
