Volunteer Walk Leader Training

Trust Thamesmead is working in partnership with Greenmead Children's Centre and the Bexley Care Trust in holding Volunteer Walk Leader training, 10:00am-3:00pm on Friday 24 October.

The group will meet at Greenmead Community Centre, Lime Row, Thamesmead, where they will learn how to lead walks as well as risk assessment aspects.

Trust Thamesmead's Community Development Officer Linda Delieu said: “The walks are a great way for people to keep fit and healthy, meet new people and learn about the open spaces in the area.

“The leaders will gain a certificate at the end of the one-day training, which will allow them to set-up their own walking groups in any area.”

Places are open to people aged 18+ and must be pre-booked; based on a first come, first served basis. A crèche will be available on the day.
