Thamesmead's indoor climbing wall The cAve celebrated its fifth birthday on Saturday and what a turn out! Around 100 people, many of them Thamesmead residents attended throughout the day, to help celebrate!
With 1.5 hours worth of climbing per attendee, a DJ, cake, an arts and crafts table and face painting on offer, it really was a day to remember!
The cAve's Manager Ann Beard said: “After all the hard work it was wonderful to celebrate the success of the cAve. The day was brilliant, the young people climbed alongside adults and everyone had fun helping us blow out the candles on the cake.
“The staff and volunteer helpers also enjoyed their day, not only helping the visitors to climb but also judging various competitions.”
Vice Chair of Trust Thamesmead Ted Claridge said: “The cAve's 5th birthday party was a huge success. The number of adults and young people who attended was amazing. It truly was a great occasion.”
