Online Help for Job Seekers

Peabody’s online programme, Net Worx will be launching their online offer from the brand new, Thamesmead Job Club on Wednesday 15 April.

Available, 10:00am-12:00pm every Wednesday, Net Worx will offer residents the chance to learn how to search for jobs, complete application forms and apply for jobs online.

Net Worx has helped more than 1200 Londoners to search and apply for jobs, connect with family and friends, pay bills, shop and use the web as a general information tool.

Peabody’s Director of Community Programmes, Veronica Kirwan said: “For many people getting online and accessing services is a daunting prospect which is where Net Worx comes in. The team work with learners at their own pace to ensure that they feel safe, supported and confident about accessing the internet. For some it has opened up a whole new world and has changed their lives.”

Thamesmead Job Club is available Monday-Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) at Trust Thamesmead, 19a Joyce Dawson Way, Thamesmead Town Centre, SE28 8RA.
