The Thamesmead Arts Festival is set to bring the arts to the doorstep of thousands of residents this half term (25 – 31 May).
A new community arts festival devised by Trust Thamesmead, part of the Peabody group will offer a vibrant and diverse programme of events and activities including live music, theatre, cinema, exhibitions and creative workshops.
Brought to you by a number of renowned arts organisations including Theatre Street Performing Arts, Rose Bruford Performing Arts College, Emergency Exit Arts, The Brick Box, Global Fusion and the Albany Theatre.
Peabody’s CEO, Stephen Howlett said: “The Peabody group is proud to be launching the first ever, all-encompassing Thamesmead Arts Festival. It will offer a range of activities, featuring some of South East London’s most innovative and diverse artists. We hope that this one week will be the beginning of something bigger, kick-starting an arts programme that will leave a legacy lasting well in to the future.”
Most performances cost just £1 each, although some may vary. Workshops are completely free.
