Hundreds of jobs will be on offer at Peabody's fifth annual Job Fair taking place on Tuesday 16th June.
The event which is offered by London's oldest housing association is aimed at all Londoners who are unemployed.
Thirty organisations will be attending this this year's fair, offering a number of jobs and apprenticeships in construction, retail, domiciliary and healthcare, administration, hospitality, catering, IT, security and leisure.
Organisations attending include Peabody, Higgins Construction, GLL, Greggs, Interserve, London Care, McDonalds and Mitie, as well as Crossrail, who will be trying to fill as many of their current 300 vacancies in construction, rail and admin.
Peabody's Chief Executive, Steve Howlett said: “Our employment and training teams across London have a wealth of knowledge in building relationships with large organisations who are able to offer jobs to residents of London. Working together with a number of partners we are in the prime position to pool our resources and support both businesses and individuals to make sure the right candidate is recruited.”
Last year's Peabody Job Fair proved very popular with over 2000 Londoner's attending. This year we are offering job seekers the chance to pre-book priority entry between 9:30am and 11:30am. To register, please email [email protected] otherwise just turn up.
The Peabody Job Fair will take place between 9:30am and 4:00pm at Islington Assembly Hall, Upper Street, Islington, N1 2UD.
To complement the Peabody Job Fair, Peabody's employment and training department will be offering Londoner's the chance to brush up on their interview techniques and CV writing on Thursday 18 June, during Adult Learners Week (13 - 19 June);

Each year Peabody supports around 1000 Londoners into employment through events like the Peabody Job Fair and its employment and training programme.
