Community groups in Thamesmead are invited to Trust Thamesmead’s Funders Fair on Thursday 20 November, offering information about the funding opportunities available to them including The Peabody Community Fund which is offering between £500 and £5,000.
The event which is being held at The Link Thamesmead on Thursday 20 November, will also give groups the chance to talk about the support they need, find out about the volunteering opportunities available to them, attend workshops which are designed to help them ‘speak the funders language’ and the chance to network.
Peabody’s Executive Director, Community Investment, Stephen Burns said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for community groups to learn more about the local funding opportunities available to them and to network with other groups in the area. There is real community spirit in Thamesmead. A lot of groups could benefit from attending to enable them to become sustainable and help them to carry on offering the fantastic support, activities and opportunities they offer to residents.”
The Peabody Community Fund is open to community constituted community, resident groups, social enterprises and others who can offer residents of the Peabody Group in Thamesmead access to health and wellbeing projects.
The event will be taking place 10:00am – 2:00pm on Thursday 20 November at The Link Thamesmead, Belvedere Road, off Harrow Manor Way, Thamesmead, SE2 9BS.
