The next Community Voice meeting taking place on Wednesday 26 November will unveil the findings of the Thamesmead bus survey led by Erith & Thamesmead MP, Teresa Pearce, who is also hosting the event.
Residents who attend the quarterly meeting will also have the chance to hear about Thamesmead Town Centre’s Christmas lights switch on, reminisce over a film about Thamesmead with the Thamesmead Pop in Parlour and find out about a project for young people led by community organisation, Community Dialogue.
Peabody’s Director of Community Investment, Stephen Burns said: “There is a rich community spirit in Thamesmead which is complemented by these quarterly Community Voice meetings. They give residents the chance to not only hear about plans, projects and events taking place in the local community but the chance to ask questions and have their voice heard.”
Community Voice will be taking place 6:30-8:30pm at The Link Thamesmead, Belvedere Road, off Harrow Manor Way, Thamesmead, SE2 9BS. Readers interested in finding out more should contact Trust Thamesmead’s Community Development Officer, Alex Forrester, T: 020 8320 4470.
