Trust Thamesmead will be celebrating Christmas in style this year and making sure it is bigger and better than ever before, planning a diary of events for Thamesmead residents to join in the festive fun…
Saturday 8 December
The launch of Christmas in Thamesmead Town Centre, 12:00-3:00pm. The area will be twinkling for miles with the arrival of Father Christmas, stilt walkers, glitter tattooists, competitions, balloon modeling and much more. Carol singers and a pa system playing festive music will make sure everyone enjoys the festive fun.
Saturday 8-Saturday 16 December
Younger residents of Thamesmead are able to meet Santa at Tiger's Eye, 6b Joyce Dawson Way, at the following times, on the following days…
Saturday 8 December, 12:00-4:00pm
9-15 December, 2:00-6:00pm
Sunday 16 December, 5:00-8:00pm
Free tickets are being sent to Thamesmead primary schools, pre-schools and nurseries who requested them. Open to children aged eight and under, entrance fee is £2 per child and includes a photo and gift - subject to availability.
Wednesday 12 December
Trust Thamesmead has arranged for Family Learning to attend Tigers Eye to undertake a Christmas decoration making workshop, 3:30-5:00pm. All ages welcome. Please call Trust Thamesmead's Community Development Officer, Roz Williams for further information, T: 020 8320 4470
Friday 14 December
Trust Thamesmead has sent invites to Thamesmead residents aged 50+ for an afternoon of festive food and fun at the Pop in Parlour.
