Trust Thamesmead celebrated the launch of Christmas in Thamesmead Town Centre on Saturday, 8 December.
The rain didn't dampen spirits, with hundreds of Thamesmead residents, as well as the good man himself - Santa, real life reindeers and others turning out to join in the festive fun.
Trust Thamesmead's Arts and Events Coordinator, Danny Thorpe said: “It was great to see the Town Centre really come alive on Saturday. Jugglers, stilt walkers, reindeers and even a samba band all helped to create a very vibrant and colourful day for the first ever Christmas in Thamesmead celebration.
“Local people seemed really engaged and pleased that the town centre was alive and buzzing with activity for all the family.”
Santa is available to meet in his Grotto...
