Ten Thamesmead schools have taken up Trust Thamesmead's offer of Santa visiting them this month; visits begun on Monday when Santa visited the children of Windrush primary school.
Trust Thamesmead's Marketing and Communications Officers Julia Hickson said: “Santa surprised all the children in their school assembly - they had no idea they were going to have a visitor. The look on the children's faces was magic!
“The questions they asked Santa were interesting - they were all number related, for example, they wanted to know how old Rudolph and Santa are, how many elves there are and how many houses Santa Claus has.”
And it didn't stop there: “Father Christmas went round to each class and individually handed each child a Satsuma, Trust Thamesmead logo bug and Trust pencil.”
