Trust Thamesmead's indoor climbing wall The cAve at Arch 3 Harrow Manorway in Thamesmead would like to invite you to their Winter Wonderland, which is open until 31 March 2009.
As you enter through the door you will see the artistic work by primary school children of the Business Academy Bexley who have spent classes over the last three months making the scenery; pine trees, icicles and stars, as well as a fantastic wooden reindeer and also lights in the shape of Christmas figurines.
The cAve's Winter Wonderland project leader Gemma Gould said: “It has been a really exciting partnership project that we hope will not only have helped to develop pupils' creativity but one which will bring joy to others and encourage people of all ages to climb at The cAve.
“A big thank you goes to all of the pupils at the Business Academy Bexley who took part.” Every child was awarded for all their hard word and effort with a free climb at The cAve.
Ten year old Damilola Adewakun said: “I have really enjoyed sticking things together and I am looking forward to seeing my work and visiting The cAve, although I am scared of heights.” Whilst 10-year-old Billie-Jo Beadle added: “I've been to The cAve before - I like climbing right to the top!”
Please note The cAve has extended opening hours on 22 and 23 December, closed 24 December 2008-3 January 2009 and includes a beginner, intermediate and advanced climbing wall. For further information T020 8310 1000.
Open to everyone aged 4+ of all abilities, The cAve climbing wall will give you a sense of adventure this holiday season.
