Helping Thamesmead Beat the Credit Crunch

As the credit crunch bites more and more people are finding themselves at risk of being made redundant but for Thamesmead residents help it at hand, thanks to a local charity.

Trust Thamesmead is in the unique position of being able to help people with a Thamesmead postcode to get back into work through its training and job search programme Building Futures.

Open Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, Building Futures offers Thamesmead residents aged 16 and over a one-to-one personal support officer who will offer free help and support with:

  •  Free training courses
  • Careers advice
  • Job applications and CVs
  • Travel expenses
  • Childcare costs
  • Work placements

Project Manager Sharron Hawe said: “We are perfectly placed to help during these difficult times. Thamesmead residents should call their Personal Advisor now T: 020 8320 4486 or 020 8320 4472. Together we can build a brighter future.”
